Our Purpose

The purpose of Essex Baptist Church is to work as directed by the Holy Scriptures and the Holy Spirit for:
  • the Exaltation of God (Psalm 95:6, 7; Revelation 4:8-11)
  • the Encouraging of believers toward spiritual maturity (Romans 12:1,2; 14:19)
  • the Equipping of Christians for the work of the ministry (Matthew 9:35-38); Ephesians 4:11,12)
  • and the Evangelization of the world for Christ (Matthew 28:19, 20; Mark 16:15; Acts 1:8)
